You can’t do it.
They are physically incompatible.

If you do it, by disabling the security, your car will have a cool flip key but leave the car as secure as a HJ with a screwdriver for an ignition key.

There is no way to get the remote lock working either as it is linked to the security system which will be disabled so you can have a flip key to manually lock and unlock the door.

I forgot to mention,
The Profile of the VT > VZ key blade is different to the VE key blade.

A lot different. The pin on a VR-VZ key must make contact with the slip ring to complete the circuit.

A VE key is too narrow and operates its security feature via a key reader detecting the transponder in the key.

The VE has a separate CANbus module controlling the doors when you press the button. The VZ uses the sun sensor that also forms part of the AC system.

So you would have re-engineer a CANbus key reader into the VZ electronics, then redesign the software to accept the key reader into the platform. Then do it for the remote door module.

Then the VE key would have to be detectable and compatible with existing Tech2 diag tool and allow programming of the foreign key.

You will be a computing genius if you can do that.
