If you are hearing a loud tick on the right side, you’d want to hope it’s a noisy injector.

If it is coming from under the rocker cover, it’s going to be expensive.
when I got the stethoscope on it it was loudest at the exhaust manifold, it made me think it could be a valve that’s a bit rattely or something, but I’m lost for ideas, because the noise goes away at around 2k rpm

There is a few motors that you could have and some had direct injection through 2009.

An Omega could have the 3ltr direct injection or the older LE0 port injected.

The solenoid is on different sides depending on the motor.

Listening to that video (which I didn’t do before) I’d be leaning to an exhaust leak.

It’s an ly7 omega, yeah weird i know, the last of the series 1 omegas and berlinas got ly7’s in them. But I do have an exhaust leak in the passenger side where the cat connects to the manifold, and it might explain that. And now that I think about it, when that leak first happened, it was because the bolt came loose, so it was leaking really bad and only got worse, and i remember that there was a loud ticking sound, a lot louder then this one, and it sounded like a lawnmower ahaha. But yeah it could most definitely be an exhaust leak.

LY7 has the purge solenoid on the other side. That is not the issue here.

I’m suggesting you get the manifold off and redo the job.
