Did you sort this problem out yet? I had the same thing. Replaced wheel bearings, brake rotors etc. nothing worked. Eventually noticed that the dust cover plate for the centre bearing on the tailshaft was causing the noise. A pair of tin snips and the noise never returned

has anyone got a wiring diagram, or knows what each pin of the holden auto ride levelling sensor does? i could not be lazy and test it but i thought id try save some time haha

you say your first car so I'm guessing your a p plater? I have a 6 speed manual vz ute, motor has been nothing but problems. unless your gonna granny it id say vy!

i got rid of the dual flywheel mate, had a look at the tailshaft coupling, there what looks like rubber plate which is pretty torn, could thisbe causing it or is it only a cover?

i have a manual vz v6, around 3000rpm the car gets a violent shake for a few seconds till you gain speed, thriugh all the gears. its not the motor cause it dissapears when you push the clutch in. anyone experienced this? or know what it could be?

these alloytec motors should have an oil change every 5000-10000 kms. youll kill the motor otherwise, anyone correct me if im wrong but its what ive been told a few times

the vu is the old ute, its now a vz. put it on a scan tool and have closedit down to cylinder 3. were thinking a bearing, have to do more pulling apart -.- endless money pit these alloytecs are

okay so i had a rattle in the motor, mechanic said timing chains were stretched so he replaced guides chains and a tensioner pulley (mechanic is trusted by the way) put it all back together and now theres still a noise, anyone experienced this? i just want the f**king thing fixed. im over these...

go to the wreckers and find a good condition one with the sensor holes in it?

just curious, has anyone had there steering wheel leather re-wrapped? is it even possible?

you can buy the whole timing chain cover seal kit for around 120 off ebay

sorry to bring up an old thread, but you wouldnt have the part number for that 300 dollar kit by any chance?

whats involved in changing the tensioner pull for the timing chains? does the chain have to come off to do it or whats the go?

yeah if it starts jerking and carrying for long enough the check powertrain light comeson and the engine starts shaking. almost like aprotection setting

mine jerks under acceleration, as if its missing a little bit, and theres a rattle about 1500-2000rpm. trying to eliminate things. i read a few other posts. alot of people get the same symptoms with the timing chains and tensioner pulleys

doesit feel like its missing? and theres a constant rattle?

ive been looking at airbag suspension, but i cant figure out what the legalities of it are. anyone got a clear idea of what it is in victoria? also do they void your insurance in a crash if you dont get them engineered?

i have stock sound system, and if i turn headlights off and foglight on it still doesnt work. but ive noticed now that when if i turn the foglights on with the car running it makes my headunit distort :/

got the exedy hd clutch put in, with the single fly wheel conversion. completly changed the car. much better acceleration and no more slipping!

my standard clutch is gone, getting a new excedy hd single flywheel conversion put in on tuesday. got it off ebay for $1200. ill let you know how it goes

35s, so i changed the ballast, checked headlight fuses, changed the fog light relay and it still isnt working :( any other ideas?

with tax time coming up ive been think about putting it to good use, i want air suspension, but ive had drop in bags in an older ute and hated them. where would i get the bolt on bags from? anyone suggest a good brand

the headlights work good though, and sometimes they both work when you start the car, but turns off later on

i think your throttle needs to finds its setting again. disconnect the battery and go from there

i need to replace my clutch, i had a look on ebay and i found a clutch replacement and keep the dual flywheel, and a clutch replacement with a single flywheel. which one would be better? or what other advice does anyone have? cheers

im looking for someone located around greensborough victoria to swap ultra low king springs for super low king springs to suit a vz ute v6. i use the car for work and regretfully need to raise it as it just isnt practical. cheers
