    the usual fault is the pim is offline so scan tool cannot communicate with pim and therefore pcm so i dont know what your fault is but going by what you typed i would think a ground or comms issue

    vf would be canbus linked so vin number is programmed into unit after flat battery bcm will poll the other modules and if they all report the correct vin all is good so no 4 digit pin

    okay 485 is the newer abs/traction control unit, so is correct for you car as lex mentioned the abs/traction control is the same unit

    are you fitting a 219 ABS module standard abs do you have traction control 348 module maybe time to get the abs unit scanned and see what abs code is being reported

    so when you try to indicate, globes light up but dont blink? flasher relay inside bcm do indicators blink when you lock/unlock car, (this may be a separate relay)

    try turning ignition to reds for 5 seconds then switch off, then attempt to start this allows the fuel pump to prime in case it is a fuel pump check valve problem they should hold pressure for weeks but sometimes they bleed down over a few hours

    sounds like the heater tap a flimsy plastic part in the cooling system when it cracks all the coolant leaks out thank goodness it stalled before seizing motor as the engine overheats, things expand which seizes motor

    on the ecotec the dfi controls spark until engine starts can your scan tool check 18x and 32x cam/crank signals at ecu

    If you modify the wiring to the lock up solenoid you will have a lot more slip you need to replace that torque converter asap or you will be getting a whole auto replaced most likely too late already
