Hi all, got the spigot bearing out . Couple of scratches but will get a new one tomorrow... Got new tyres and wheels are all done. Also been busy with my daily Pajero, try to book these bloody mechanics to clean the soot out off intake manifold... Nobody wants to do it, all booked for weeks...

thanks mate, I was thinking the same . I am not sure to leave the bastard in as the whole point of it to support the inner gearbox shaft.. there is no load on that thing at all. Mate has a buddy who was Holden mechanic and he said, they need changing every 85 years haha I guess they don't...

I heard they last many many years but why is different to the one I got in the kit? Also it doesn't spin on inside the new one does..

Hi guys, need advise... I noticed that I have a brass spigot bush here, the spigot bearing in the kit is steel and has small bearings inside. The brass one doesn't move when I put the finger in but the new one moves as it's got bearings Inside. What do I have here? Confused

Today started putting the flywheel and new clutch back on the car. I've torqued flywheel new bolts to 80 nm, it said 75 to 88 nm, no issues. For the clutch plate , the measure was 41 to 47 nm, one of the bolts snapped in flywheel at 30 nm... I used the bolts they provided in the kit bit they...

Wheels are done, powder coated and extra clear on top. I went for silver grey, it looks much lighter in the sun.. all for 4 wheels done for $340 bucks... Bargain

I found this too, flywheel bolts like you said , clutch pressure plate to flywheel a bit off 41 -47 .. thankyou

Thanks champ ... Sorry for a stupid question but what is the difference between the pressure plate cover and clutch cover to flywheel? Just a bit confused. I only got a flywheel and clutch cover that came with the clutch disc.

Hi all , what are the torque specs on 253 for a flywheel using new ATP bolts and for a new clutch plate? cheers.

Putting chrome bits here and there, the rear ones rubber was gone.. quick drive to Clark rubber and for $5 bucks got a meter of rubber strip. Hehe another tight ass fix :)

Hi all, I am getting the box ready to install rebuild engine. aussie 4 speed , pull clutch cable, 253. I was wondering how do I adjust the fork clutch and pivot ball while the box is still outside. How far should the pivot ball be out before I tighten it with that nut? Also which parts here...

Hi all, I am building a tribute vc hdt commodore. It's got flares front and 15 inch old school holden globe wheels. I am thinking 235 wide for the rear and 215 for the front, the current tyres are 205/ 60 15 but I think I need to raise the profile to 65 so it can fill up the gap nicely ...

Thank you Mate, I ll stick with OEM ignition, I will replace the cap and rotor button.Tonight I started painting the door cards from red to correct HDT colour, also changed both indicators on front lights, looking good

Hi All, moved the mechanic untiil the May, still putting little things on, tomorrow all bodykit parts are coming back from the paint and on Saturday mate will spray the back of the car on black around the number plate. I have a question, thinking of upgrading original ignition with coil to msd...

Haha don't think so , shop is legit and nice cars I saw there prove that he knows his stuff but I did take my vin plates off before the paint , that will go on only when car is finished and at my place :)

Today I visited a mechanic that was recommended to me, he does all classic cars ,EFI tuning , dyno etc I think he owns a vh as well, booked it for 6 th of March.He will put all mechanical stuff in and get it running, after it leaves his shop , it will most likely be done... and ready for...

The red is way too bright, I did that 2 years ago.. I will paint it all to match this HDT colour same as dash and console

Sun visors and most of those plastic bits including the door cards are painted red.. not good , I ll change them all to hdt burgandy colour so it blends in better, I wish I had 7 K to pay a trimmer to do it all but I am doing the best I can with I got..

Got few more things done this morning, door chrome is back on, plastic bits around the door, mirros back on,console fitted as well.. more cleaning... And rest of the dash has to be painted

Yes if you put the light close to it you can see burgandy in it but yes more brown then anything.. I won't win the argument with these idiots so how do I fix it, dye might be a solution.. the way dashboard came out I don't think I ll have any issues using the same spray
