Update, So it's all go ahead for the transplant to happen next Weekend. (Anzac Day long Weekend). Yesterday bought new Silicon Joiners, New Pod Filter, Oil and Coolant. Also got all my gauges hooked up and ready to go :)

Update, bought some more goodies on Saturday (Gates Timing Kit, Nason Head Bolts and Permaseal 1.3 4 layer stainless steel Headgasket VRS kit). Got the new head gasket and bolts torqued down and the motor timed with new belt and tensioner. Turbo Manifold bolted and Mani-Sealed on. Dump Pipe...

Been absolutely flat out this weekend on this conversion. Pulled the head and sump off on friday night to find out she's got 50 thou oversize pistons :D Took some parts into my mates workshop and put them in the parts washer and they turned out great. And on Saturday all the painting started...

Yeah $30 a can. I didn't put the white groundcoat down for the blaze so it took around 8 coats to cover properly. And as for heat resistant, I had it driving for about an hour an a half yesterday and I could hold my hand on the cover easily with it slightly warm. Apparently it's an insulator.

Thanks Nath, I thought this may of been the case. Talked to the mechanic at work today and told me that's what it might be, think the gearbox may have got a bit too hot.

Pollushon: The front is running SL springs and the rear is running SSL. With the 18's it's dead level. And CONNOR: I painted it about a year ago, it's painted with a Greenish Blue Hammertone pressure pack. I found it quite good, withstands the heat and easy to clean.

They look good. I've got some rails on mine but I think they are VH or VK ones. A bit bigger and chrome.
