I have only seen a handful of VS utes with 2 airbags, and they were all series 3. This morning I saw a series 1, 1996 build with 2 airbags. So it was always an option, just that ute buyers then weren't willing to pay for safety? Otherwise it was just another V6 auto with 16" alloys.

Playing around with TunerPro RT, I monitored the transmission data, and TCC and Downshift Solenoid were always off under various conditions. Not getting any error codes, but the 4L60E has done 450k, so is probably needing an overhaul?

What does this suggest? The door latch needs a good greasing?

Trying to use a scan tool on an Astra, I go to transmision, then it asks which tranny you have - there are 4 options. I would have thought there would only be 2, a standard box, and tougher one for turbo engine. So I presume you have to decode the compliance plate and look up what that code means.

engine does not start first time. But turn key off and try again, it starts quickly. Seems like a drained fuel rail. But can hear the fuel pump priming. Turning key on (not start position) and off a few times does not help. So have to turn key to start twice.
