    V6 ecotec gilmore kit info

Only useful if you use a roots type supercharger and a tiny pulley for positive charger drive. In all other circumstances, forget it.

    Self Made Manifold Insulators

In the L36, there is no oil splash plate under the LIM, so the LIM runs hotter than in alot of other cars. So the insulating properties of the SPacer can and do help - for a bit. No matter what you do, the UIM will absorb heat from the hot air at the engine top, and will probably run at temps...

[QLD] Raptor VLC possibly up for sale

Now that I have a serious built engine, I'm thinking of moving to a Turbo for more powah and torques. That means I am interested in offers on my Supercharger. 1 x Complete Raptor VLLC system, including water pump, water cooler, reservoir tank, fan and all fittings and brackets, suitable for a...

[Ecotec] Curious of real power gains

Immo is on the money. In the real world, I think 3.9's might be a bit high, I have the 3.7's from a manual V8 up the bum and they tend to suit on about 2400 RPM at 110. Generally, a brand new sludgeotec registers about 130-140hp at the wheels in an auto. I don't see you making more than about...

Maf survival with an OTRCAI and oily filter

the most common MAF's essentially are Hot wire MAF's, and they work by having a small temp sensor near the hot wire. The faster the air flows, the cooler the temp sensor reads. Anything that interferes with the heat generation or heat sensing will soften your throttle response. Carbon, soot...

    E85 fuel

Dump a cup of Metho in the tank. Metho will draw water from the Ethanol and bind to it. Normally water in small amounts is no issue - after all water / meth injection is common. Large amounts - like 10% plus is a different story - and I can't imagine THAT much getting in to your tank. I think...

    Diffs, FAQ

You're dead right. VY rear subframe has altered pickup points to introduce a more positive camber point. I thought long and hard about swapping the vt2 Subframe for a VY2. Ended up getting a freebie 4 way camber kit so passed on it. I'd like to know if he achieves this as rear wheel width...

HELP! Being messed around by auto elecs and mechanics

Motor Trimmers also do alot of lock mechanicals. There the people that I'd prefer to have taking off door trims, coz they have all the gear on hand to fix them when the cards break :) In Brisbane, call the boys at Midas Albion, tell em I sent You (Andrew with the blue commodore) and they will...

Here are some modification parts for v6 3.8L !!

Dunno why this cropped up again bu t yeah - right idea with the trumpets, just FAR too short to produce any more torque. Why your trying to achieve is a long, moving column of air. That column of air has a certain momentum if you will, that causes a bit of a pressure build up when the valve...

VX II Giving Weird Error and Chime?

I believe the connection between cluster and BCM is faulty - or something in the cluster isn't reporting to the BCM correctly. Anything more really needs a fault code. Maybe drop the BCM cover off (passenger footwell wall) and check the connectiosn on the BCM ?
