    Trip Computer Problem

Everything on the car still works as normal, the only thing that goes missing is the Km's travelled if the car is not started for about 6 hrs.

    Trip Computer Problem

The loose terminals have caught me out before but no, no loose battery terminals & car starts fine. All radio stations stay where they are & don't have to reset the pin code for the radio either. I wonder, is there is a battery back-up just for the K's, that might be stuffed?

    Brake upgrade question

Clearance should be fine, got 19's. Anyone know if there is a different mounting block thats needed for the front calliper's seeing as how the disc's themselves are 320mm instead of 298mm? Looking at it, just quietly, i recon it'd make sense, but still can't find squat! Anyone care to...

    Brake upgrade question

What's involved in fitting the 320mm front brakes from an VZ SSZ onto a VX? Can't seem to find out if the calipers are the same or not. Only difference in the rears are that they are ventilated. Actually, stuff it, what's stopping me from bolting on the front and rear brakes from a VZ SSZ...

20s on a Series II VT Calais ?

The Wanli 225/35/20 has the load rating but is larger than the legal rolling diameter allowed, it's 665.5mm. Said bloke that lives with me has a VE SSV. Again, not a dig, happy for all the info i can get.

    Nut wont tighten or loosen??

There should be 8 5mm socket head cap screws holding it on. Be carefull of the viton seal under the plenum lid. It's re-usable, recess in the plemun lid for it to sit in, but can be a bit fiddly to re-fit if you take it out. Squash it in tight from where you start to re-fit it so as to cram it...

20s on a Series II VT Calais ?

Can you name a tyre which is legally load rated for this vehicle within the legal rolling diameter as i cannot. This is not a dig at you, the bloke that lives with me is the manager of a very well known tyre company starting with "B" and has said in the past that this tyre size/combination is...

    Nut wont tighten or loosen??

The bolts that hold the engine cover on are not "bolts" as such. They are a stud with a spline on the under side instead of a hex-head which locate in the plenum chamber lid (Take the cover off if you can, put a nut back on, tap down on the nut gently with a hammer and the "stud" should come out...

20s on a Series II VT Calais ?

20's are not legal in QLD from VT - VX. Rolling diameter is too great and you won't get a tyre size that is legally load rated. They will fit, but if you get caught you will get shafted.....by the :cops:
