Coalition unveil their broadband and internet policy

Nanos, Let's be very clear. I would have expected more of you. Firstly, no exchanges will be Satellite fed. Secondly, I am surprised that someone who "has a fair bit of knowledge" are making claims about service performance when you don't have the details. Thirdly, I can assure you that...

    Steven Conroy

What I am telling you is that NBN Co is a standalone company, with the Government as a shareholder. Exactly the same as AirServices Australia. That's what you asked, after all.

Man, do some research. NBN Co is a Goverment Business Enterprise, not a department.

VicPol to crack down on people driving with their fog lights on

Victoria Police are obviously concentrating on solving real crime. I was breath tested a few nights ago and given a rude warning about driving with my fog lights on. A few days later, I received a letter informing me of the specific road rule. Perhaps Vic Pol should focus on the big issues and...

Telstra chaging everyone for line rental

AAPT own no copper POTS infrastructure. I'm actually surprised that company is still in business. Absolutely diabolical. Telstra do not offer Naked DSL. Other providers do, using Telstra's ULL (copper line) connected to that provider's own DSLAM (e.g. TPG or iiNet's DSLAM) Telstra do not use...

Is 100km per hour too fast for sealed country roads ?

What do you mean by "good quality"? Good surface? Free flowing. Every time I drive in Sydney on the M5 or M7, there is a transition between 100 or 110km/hour and 0km/h. High speed roads work well when there is relatively little congestion. When you could potentially approach stopped traffic at...

Is 100km per hour too fast for sealed country roads ?

Very sad. At the end of the day, whether the speed limit is 90 or 100 will have a negligible impact on the traffic statistics. A collision at either speed will typically result in serious injury. I think the focus should be on stricter driver licence requirements and a periodic retesting...

    Rear AUX volume extremely low.

Common issue. GPS is probably giving you "line level" output. Same with many phones. Put a simple pre-amp ( approx $15) inline between the GPS and AUX in. Can obtain from jaycar.

I'm confused. The GXP never made it onto the market, so why is there a GXP badge on the car?
