    The beginning of the end

Well this is it and it is with a somewhat heavy heart I say goodbye to my first ever Holden. Yes I am indeed because it demonstrates just how good the VXR is as a car. The other cars I drove only put slightly more smiles on my dial for 2-3 times the VXR's price. But the M3 is in another...

VF S2 or ZB, what to buy

I had a new windscreen put into my VXR after the original was cracked by an acorn sized rock. The glass place asked me what driving aids are in my car, I replied, "all of them." ;) They did a great job too, everything works fine, no complaints from me and it was all paid for by insurance so...

VF S2 or ZB, what to buy

I thought you said you were looking to buy a wagon?

I have never tried to turn it off. Adaptive cruise is a bit weird at first but once you get used to it you don't go back.

Transitioning from a Commodore to an EV

Have you noticed any changes in the efficiency of the batteries so far? While it is reasonable to expect that the total battery capacity will slowly decline over time, what about the mileage in terms of kwh/100km?

    Second hand ZB's

I considered a 2016 Insignia VXR back in 2018. Tech was dated, 239kw and 435nm might have been good back in 2016 but it is only 0.2 sec faster 0-100 as my atmo ZB, drinks a lot more premium fuel (like 20% more), has less internal space and weighs 40kg more so the extra torque advantage is...

    Second hand ZB's

I think he might have meant the Calais-V Tourer? None of the liftbacks have it.

    Second hand ZB's

He says the VXR has a powered tailgate at the 3:45 mark

    Second hand ZB's

I have one question. Did Australian VXRs get powered hatches? Because NZ certainly didn't get them!

    Second hand VXR

That might have been me. The wheels were way out of alignment and I didn't notice till it was too late.

    Second hand VXR

Not as standard, but there is a thread on this forum somewhere about after an market mod Not automatically, you either press the button the drivers door or press and hold the lock button on the remote to fold them in Replaced the rear drive unit under warranty, and a rear seat belt but that was...

    ZB Commodore Opel badges

No, he's sold his to a Buick owner... ;)

    The beginning of the end

They cannot be rotated front to rear or vice versa because they are 275/35/19 on the front and 285/30/20 on the rear. I've seen a photo of a modded car in Europe which has 20"s with 285s all round. Looks very nice on a 20mm lowering kit, but scraping your carbon fibre splitter on a speed bump...

All you RWD purists can rejoice because the M XDrive allows you to disconnect the front axle from the driveshaft, turn all the driver aids off, and melt your 285 section rear Michelins into the road professionally supervised skidpan to your hearts content.

I'll say this. Your VXR while not perfect is still a great piece of kit and incredible value for money since Holden sold them at a loss. I had to spend a large chunk of change to find something better. Enjoy it.
