Hi all So what are these really like. As a comfy get about vehicle that rarely carries heavy loads. Just to carry surfboards, kayaks and dog in the back and on top with me and my wife up front. Also any economy difference to a VZ manual ute? Cheers Rudi

Hi all Is there any real difference between in fuel consumption in these years and models ? Looking at manuals in the VZ and VE series 1 but either auto or manual in the VE series 2 sidi. 3.6 engines. What to expect? Cheers Rudi

Thanks Z31na 8 and 12 seem ok to me How would you describe its performance? Like a stronger largish 4 cylinder motor Or About the same go as a 4 cylinder thinking around the 2.4/2.5 litre engines

Is the Evoke really any better than the old VE series 2 Omega/Berlina? whatcha all getting in the sedans and wagons? Looking at the torque curves they seem like a bit more grunty 4 cylinder type? The Max torque hits mid 2000 rpm so a bit earlier than a general 4 cylinder that hits about 4000rpm...

That’s what I found too and hope it’s correct. And hope to find people that have fitted the 2.92 into the manual and what it did to fuel consumption And if it was fitted to the Vz manual as well.

I looked in Red book and even gumtree specs but the numbers are all over the place. 2.92. 308,3.45 If the series 2 sedans use the 2.92 and it appears the utes may use 3.45 a drop down to the 2.92 should gain a good reduction of rpm on the flat.
