    VF Calais/Commodores Head Liners

The material delaminates from the board, you can't fix it. Replacing the material on the roof lining board is the fix.

    15" wheels on VF

With the good size range of drag racing tyres available today, I'd at least try a set that'll fit the car first and see how they go.

    15" wheels on VF

You'd need some strong conclusive evidence that a 15" wheel will significantly improve the vehicle performance over a wheel size that'll fit for the effort of fitment and cost of this kit.

    15" wheels on VF

Unless you were chasing a motorsport championship worth more than a plastic trophy and an hour of fame, the most I'd consider is fitting V6 brakes on the rear to fit smaller wheels. There's enough drag tyres available in 16/17/18" not to bother with a modification as radical as this for minimal...

    Question on HF20 Wheels

Great stance on that Calais for a radical lowering! Note the front ride height matching the rear and maintaining the ideal roll axis for the suspension geometry. The popularity of dumping the rear only on the VE/VF platform, maximises understeer potential, the opposite of what's needed for a...

    Question on HF20 Wheels

Yes! I've seen them on a black MY16 Redline with the chrome window and front bumper trim, lowered nicely with dark window tint and the car was a standout to me and looked really good! The full "black out" on black is too much black and isn't a look that inspires me.

Some issues on my 2013 SV6 VF Commodore

We don't have any periodic examination requirements in SA for registered vehicles but the states who do, I'm thinking there would surely be some authorised workshops passing anything for the right fee.

    Question on HF20 Wheels

I'm a fan of panhead's ute too with the silver Vossen wheels on it!

    Question on HF20 Wheels

No, just the standard equipment GenF2 Clubsport/Maloo wheels.

    Question on HF20 Wheels

How about these HSV wheels on a black Calais for a premature reproductive disfunction?

    15" wheels on VF

If you're using 15" wheels for drag racing traction, leave the sway bar disconnected. Sway bars increase spring rate on one rear wheel and unloads the opposite tyre from the road surface. Traction wise, rear sway bars make the car behave like an open diff vs a locked diff as a simple explanation.

VF Calais V Wagon sound system help

I've fitted a couple of Calais and HSV head units with CD players into cars that don't have the Bose system and amp, and the speakers, fader controls etc work as normal. I only changed the VIN to unlock them from the donor vehicles and retained the OEM Calais or HSV software.

    Question on HF20 Wheels

I had the Simmons wheels, springs and shocks and a set of RDA rotors we got for free to test waiting in the shed whilst my Redline ute was in transit from QLD. It rolled up on a tilt tray and that day, and I drove it whilst stock to the rego inspection place on a permit about 14km's from us...

    Question on HF20 Wheels

The BMW Signature Forged wheels (proper one's) I bought in from the USA 2019 were around $6800 AUD landed. They'd go well over 10k looking at today's prices for the same wheels. These are ultra-light weight machined from a forged billet.

    Question on HF20 Wheels

Ironically the brand of wheels on my Redline ute are "Forgestar" likely giving the impression that all of their wheels are forged. Although the company does a custom forged wheel, the shelf wheels I purchased are called "flow forged" which is a cast centre and spun rim. I must say for a...
