Hi all..I got my wagon starting again but now it's a bit hard to start in the morning as it has a rough Idle.. goes ok on the road but what I noticed is 1 plug not spark/no change in Idle...Would this need I guess new leads as well now plus might as well get plugs...also is this an easy job to...

Hi...I just 0ut new inhibitor switch in my vt commodore 1997 and still won't select the correct gear..installed it in neutral but now there's a clicking noise with power sear fuse under dash also can only start it by using wire to short starter fuse...selects all the wrong gears...any help pls.thnx

Mostly good news...got it started by shorting out the relay and u correct...red light off etc...guess there's a short to the starter .I short out the starter fuse numbers 30 and 87 and it started...will call auto electrician on Monday get more advice and hope to have the inhibitor switch...

Hey half good news...I shorted out the starter relay numbers 30 and 87 and it Started...just need to adjust the new inhibitor switch and call auto guy Monday.. But I think there's a short to to starter...thnx all.

Yes..just today decides to have security light on while in accessories and the power seat fuse clicks???

Yes...and now the red light still flashing on accessories Plus the power seat fuse clicks twice now...what's that mean?

WI'll try soon ...the remote dies unlock the door as well as just using the key...

Had it off overnite still won't start and red light flashes with ignition turned to accessories...how to reset security?

Yes...I double checked the red light does flash but there's a on/off click sound now... Was never there b4

WI'll check all again tomorrow but what I do remember/noticed is when key is turned and dash lights come on there are 2 short click sounds seem to come behind or just below the dash..will try figure out more tomorrow..thnx all

About 2yrs old ...bright headlights and testing by ground wire and positive on terminal...they all go over 12.5v when I try starting...u think the immobiliser is doing it? ..

Yep...tested the starter relay and power goes thru once trying to turn engine same with the inhibitor switch.... other thing I will check tomorrow is the lead going to the starter...will see if power goes there when trying to start otherwise the red theft light still doesn't go on.. Door locked...

I also closed the door and locked unlocked etc....no luck and anti theft light not going?

Yes..has green light and even put battery charger on it still nothing left it off for a few hours..still off now will try in the morning...someone suggested the engine emobiliser could be the trouble?
