I am getting error 24 VSS vehicle speed sensor error because I have a gearbox with a 2 wire reluctor and the computer wants a 3 wire hall effect sender. So I just want the fault code removed from the memcal.
I have a Mace memcal and I have messaged Steve from Mace but no reply. Probably don't...
It is the aircon wire. I traced it to the plug and to the V6 Conversions plug where it went. Only problem was it was at the plug but didn't come out anywhere!
So I rang them and it just goes into their loom and loops back out. Just to satisfy the computer apparently.
Just cut the 10 wire plug...
Don't think it had aircon. I traced it to the oblong plug with 8 connectors and 7 used.
Not sure where that plug goes.
But that plug does plug into my V6 Conversions loom, so I'll trace it through there tomorrow. Thanks.
This is a real pain as my pics are too large and on my phone it is fiddly to reduce the size. It is why I have not posted them before.
The Admins of the site should do what other sires do and process the uploads to automatically reduce the size.
I will have a go at it later.
I have a v6 in a hot rod. I removed the old wiring without paying too much attention. I bought a V6 Conversions loom and then found out I need most of the existing wiring.
I am stumped by the green wire that is near the coil pack plug. It has a female bullet connector.
I didn't even realise that...
Thanks mate been busy, but I will get there. Just a quick question, I have fitted a double row timing chain and I have a new style tensioner but it does not fit. I saw somewhere that the double row chain does not need a tensioner. Is this correct?
If so I can leave it off, engine getting...
Thanks for your help mate. Be interesting to get it up and running. I have removed the balance shaft and put in a double row chain. It is going in a 1927 Ford T Tourer. I used the T5 and the VR Wagon diff.
So leave in the little elbow pipe at the front of the manifold to water pump and block the rear?
So that leaves the 2 heater pipes blocked.
Sounds good
And thanks for the reply.
Old thread but someone here may be able to help. I have an early VR V6 that I am putting in a Hot Rod and don't need a heater. So I have removed the steel tube from the timing cover and will block it. The question is about the other heater connection that I believe exits the rear if the inlet...
