Hi Rodney......my apologies, have been so busy with the tudor, I've been neglecting to check regularly.
Nope, no firewall mods needed, other than the exit point for the VY steering column and fitting of the brake booster and m/cyl.
cheers, Pete
Hey , sorry I missed your post.
I've just got the ALDL cable package thru Envyous Customs in Perth. He sells a custom program that can get rid of those faults from the cluster for you.
Cheers, Pete
Finally...........after months doing the exhaust system from scratch, fitting up the new dash layout, wiring the interior for down-lights etc, and getting the air-con all sorted..........it is alive!!
The Mace cam package has a nice note to it as well, with the exhaust been 2 1/2" all the way...
The fitting of the Vintage Air unit has been a challenge, especially as I've installed a Kenwood 6" touchscreen stereo headunit into the dash......lots of custom bespoke work that has taken me hours to do......thanks goodness for lockdown hey ;).
The other minor task to do now is to get the door...
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll fire it all up and run some simple checks to make sure everything is as it should be. I've heavily modified the wiring loom to suit the Model A body.....so fingers crossed it's all good to go.......oh, I've got to finish the left side extractor as well, then...
G'day everyone,
Firstly, apologies to Filb for not responding to your post. I'm only using the VY steering column, mated to a VH manual rack.
A quick update, I've got the Mace Stage 2 Cam Package, and was curious as to what everyone is using for their exhaust. Given the restricted space under...
Hi RJK,
Using all of the loom. Yes, found the fault......went back over the circuit modifications I'd made to the fuel gauge loom. Yep, I had incorrectly used the wrong O-BK wire.....so had the 12v feed from the dash cluster and another 12v from the fuse box feeding into the gauge circuit...
Hi everyone,
Been a while since I've added anything to this build thread. Getting closer to initial start-up now, and have a few minor gremlins to sort out.
I've plugged everything back in, the dash cluster LCD shows a "fuel gauge error" "contact retailer".
Also the dash cluster doesnt turn off...
